As easy says..... two of the finest busses I've seen were UK..... 1 kept by a VW mech from 68 till he died fairly close to me and I missed out on it by a day the other was an ultra low mileage 72 driven to the garage for service an MOT then stored in a barn for the rest of its year.....

Theres so many US busses swapping hands with all the UK issues dealt with already......

Panels are rather nice to camp in, especially if you need to wild camp or do a bit of boon docking down an alley or outside a pub. Took one all the way through Europe two summers ago. Helped because we didn't look to touristy.

You will run into some problems though with some uk campsites as they sometimes getting picky and only want "proper campers" . They sometimes inspect the vehicle to see if it has windows and cause hassle if it doesn't
