i always use paypall when shoping on ebay but re4cently its changed and takes ages for transactions to go thru.8 days and counting at the mo.
all of a sudden the percs of paypall have vanished,a cheque would be as quick

does anybody know why things have changed?

i think that if they keep the money a little longer they can get interest on it and when you consider it has 4 million+ users in the UK it adds up to alot of cash!

I would assume its security issues though as alot of banks have really tightened things up. Im with nationwide and its a bollox now, they have send this card reader device that you have to use with every online transaction. I guess if they would be a bit more careful and not lose so many of thier customers details we wouldnt be in this situation

I thought it was generally instant as long as you use a registered credit card or debit card?

It only takes 8 days etc if your bank isn't set up for funding so it uses something called an e cheque which takes about 4 years to clear!

Have you changed banks or something dude?

They did it to me on the last fire extinguisher order £2000 and they were citeing allsorts of crap excuses over 2 weeks to get the money

And the bank had been set up for months beforehand....

Once I threatened to contact there ombudsman the money was instantly transfered....

I try to avoid using them for reciepts unless its small amounts that will just sit their for me to spend on summit else...

Mine went like that, took ages to transfer money then I found out the card I had registered had expired.Registered new card and it was all good again.

the problems i have are with getting refunds.... £120 took 8 days to get to me from the sellers paypal account, and 5 days to transfer it to my bank. thats almost 2 weeks they had my money making interest for them :x

Just bought a clock and a Zig, and bloody Paypall descide now is the time to want me to verify the damn account  Im waiting for them to 'deposit 2 samll amounts in my account' ................I had this a few years ago and it never happened, so 5 phone calls later at my expense and eventually it was sorted, so frustrating!!!!!

Deep breath.............................

i have to say the Paypal phone support is excellent, even if it is in S.A. ( i hope vwhotwheels doesnt read :p ) as theres a slight language barrier, or maybe thats my thick 'culchie' accent :D
