Hi all!

Has anyone got any recommendations for a lens to take product and macro shots for a Cannon 600D?

Here is an example of the kind of shots that the lens will be predominately used for:

Budget is up to £100.

You could use an extender for any lens but works best with a 50mm. Ad manual focus.

Does the job for me if you want macro shots.

If your budget is around £100 then it would be well worth your while looking at the Canon 50mm 1.8 as it is under budget by quite some way and the lens is very sharp.

Take a look here at sample macro shots using just the lens and cheap extender tubes.

Mate, ideally you want the 100mm macro, it means you can get a 1:1 ratio and don't have to be too close and risk shadows on the product. You'll pick up an ef100 f2.8 for a ton or so if you keep your eye out.

Some amazing shots on there, thanks for sharing.

Okay, so from what 72nu-funk has said (along with other information I have read), I think I need either a 18-55mm standard lens or a 50mm with an extender tube.

Thanks chaps. :worship:
