afternooon all. noticed last weekend my bus has started pinking. im presuming the timing needs a tweak. do i need to advance or retard it? and to put it in terms i understand, clockwise or anticlockwise :wink: ! its off to dubtricks soon to have some bits done on it,so will get them to time it properly as i dont have a timing light, so just want to tweak it for now . cheers steve.

Without a timing light it is impossible to say. However it would be unusual for the timing to go out. It is more likely to be the points gap which has closed up and has changed the timing slightly. I would sort the points out before resetting the timing and then only with a timing light as if you get it wrong the results could be quite disastrous. To advance rotate the dissy anti clockwise and to retard rotate clockwise.
