After listing my Bus on the samba i recieved a pm from a good friend Gary about a thread started about my bus.
The thread was soon locked as pointless so i started another to which got replies mentioning 'pointless'and was locked before i could reply
I pm'd the guy who started the origional thread(before i posted the new thread) who replied with....
Here's the History:
The Company that had the truck was called "WEnatchee Binding and Printing COmpany", wenatchee being the city I live in here in Washington state.
They bought it at the dealer here in town in 1971 I think, so the truck was a couple years old, and they had it painted at that time for the business. They used the truck for about 12 years until the two business partners got into a disagreement and the company folded.
In an attempt to get some money out of his investment one of the partners started taking things and the truck was one of the things he took.
The truck was parked in 1984 in his back yard, I actually found out about it in 1993, but he wouldn't sell it until 2002 when I got it.
Whatever the ODO says is original mileage too, there was a log book with the truck that the driver filled out meticulously with mileage and fill-ups, and repairs.
so pointless to those who dont give a sh*t maybe but to me and the rest of the dub loving community...........PRICELESS 8)
