Early restored OEM streering wheel with butterfly horn button.
I want to sell this to justify changing the wheels on the van. It's an ideal replacement for a stock wheel due to 16" diameter. Very rare wheel and a little different to the norm with a lot of street cred ( how many buses run this wheel )

Currently with the stock boss.

Th pics are not of my wheel as currently being restored but show the style and horn button.

This wheel goes for more than £750 but looking for £400 to cover costs.
Karman Konnection sell the wheel on it's own for £450 + VAT and thats without the horn and ring.

The horn is leather.

When get back i'll post pics of my wheel so you can see the quality.

I know it's not cheap but this is not a commonly available wheel.

How much? As Father Jack might well say "Feck!!!!"

I have a 912 wheel - which is identical in shape, but has a black plastic/resin rim - rather than a wood rim. It was an eBay steal!!!

Did you get the boss to fit this to your bus? I've tried several places but no luck so far :(

Cheers,

Mike

Yea I know what you mean about the price.

Thinking about it i really want to put it on my van and more than likely will do so. Look at the karmann Koneection link and if you think this style is expensive look at some of the others

Mine has the benefit of the original horn button and butterfly ring which added the value.

As for the boss i have contacted a local engineer who would knock one up for me ( if i can find his number though )

Mike

Right this is going.

Picked up today.

I did intend to get a full 100% refurb but costs restricted this. The metal has been repainted and the wood wire wooled down and waxed.

It still has the original boss fitted but i intended to drill ot the rivets and fit an early bay by drilling and screwing to it. ( Butterfly horn will hide the screws )

Based on the above I'm looking for offers around £250 + P&P or can deliver at Dubfreeze. Any questions please mail me.

I'll give it a few day's then up on ebay.

you must have too many toys mike. Shame your selling it really. One of those things you`ll stand back in a couple of months and go"now why did i do that?" Good luck with the sale
