Yeah it's a weedeater. Kind of wish I'd gone KnL but I don't know if I'll be able to go that low anyway as I want it to be a functional camper. hhhmmm.

Good - I have been considering buying a Weedeater too. I'm keeping my ride stock, maybe lowered a tad. :msn4: Those beams look quality. After 40 years use, the last thing you want is the beam to fail with the bus full of kit, the kids and mother-in-law.... well on second thoghts.. :msn4:

It would be good to get an update when you fix the beam, - with pictures! Thanks for posting - you have a superb bus there.

And.... the Vintage speed exhaust is on the money - I'll going for one too. 8)

Looking good - what white did you use for the top half?

simo

I'm a bit embarressed to say I don't know Simo. I decided with my mate at the bodyshop just to keep it as it was so I'm guessing he just used the codes from the plate.

Kind of wish I'd took the blue all the way to the roof now. Is it wrong that my early is half and half?

Went to fit the spring plates and found that we had the ones for the wrong year. Got on the phone to creative and they had them turnned around in a couple of days so can't complain at all. That meant my time on the ramp was cut short so decided to take old Winston home and start on the inside.

Front cab, as you can see we didn't paint the inside completely. I decided in order to keep the cost down I would just paint were it was going to be seen and that really is going to be very minimal.

I've actually done all the insulation, the wiring of the leasure battery set up and the Vortex heater but my phone busted and I couldn't take/post anymore pictures. I'll get some next time I'm there though as thats me back offshore for a couple of weeks.

Sorry for the lack of updates but there has been some progress of late. Cabnets, electrics and gas in.

Weed eater, dropped spindles and Monroe shocks. Very low but not raising, still working on a solution.

Very nice mate. Did you get the suspension sorted?

Thanks Flee, well umm kind of. We cut the top mount off the brand new creative beam and fabricated them further back to give the monroes clearance. Still not that much lift but I want o get the adjusters to the full height position which I think will assist the shocks. My idea to get the adjuster to the furthest position is to put the bus on the ramp and with the wheels still on slacken the grub on the adjuster and let the wheels max out the movement available from the ball joints. Getting the hubs on was a total mare.

Hopefully this give me a bit more lift, I have a couple of air leaks I need to sort out too.

Its getting there though haha.

Suspension now sorted. Turned out I had to move the adjusters on the beam as because creative don't use dropped spindles the adjuster are positioned to give lowering. Because we need preload to assist the shocks we needed to move the position of the adjusters so that they could be adjusted to the highest position.

The bus now has a few little jobs to get done for the MOT and then I'll be back to getting the inside sorted.

Cool, how much lift do you get?
Greetz mycha

I think it was about 4 or 5cm but that was only going to 100 psi.

Like I say ones I get it motd and back to my garage I'll measure up properly.

I have back ones on too, they work great!

Hey mate, sounds great. Really wanna do this for my van. Where did you buy your parts from?
