Bought tubs from JK or Heritage (can't remember as many years ago and also fitted many years ago).
Kept the old tubs so that I could eventually take the seat runner off.

So, weather bad today so thought I would remove it ready for fitting.
When I put it on to the new tub, I noticed that the roll off from the top of the tub into the van was/is greater than the original tub and so the seat runners don't fit :(
Do I just bend the metal over to allow me to weld it in?

Ideas please??

A few pics but not very good ones:

No can do as already ripped the seat runner from the OG tub (plus, the surrounding metal was more rust the solid so wasn't an option anyway...).
Thanks for the advice. :D

The runners for LB's are different...
Just checked VWHeritage and JK site's and they both say that runners may need some work!!
So anything up to an LB will require it..............

What have other peeps done I wonder - bent the runner over ?

Cheers

If you where round the corner I would make a elongated z and weld it to the new panel to raise that side up

Damn :( Thanks for the offer though :D

porsche tombstones.

drill and tap two lengths of 25 x 12mm steel flat bar. bolt the seat to it. weld it to your tub. and you're away.

Cheers Andy..... Trying to use the original seats, plus, want to keep the cooker behind the passenger seats.

Will see what I can do over the next few weeks.

Cheers

I usually trim all the old metal of the bottom of the runner (including the edge that steps down). Put the seat into the left hand runner (if its still in place) and then put the right hand runner in place on the seat runner and tack it into place (measuring too to make sure its parallel).
Try set in runner, and if correct weld it in.
That's all there is to it! :D
