Hi all is anybody a member of the type 2 owners club. I was on google and it popped up so I thought I'd have a look but it's like Fort Knox you can't see owt, so I just thought if it's any good. Cheers phil

I didn't realise it was still a 'thing'.

I've never heard of a benefit to joining.

They used to do free insurance valuations.
I booked camping tickets and a valuation for my old '72 at Busfest many years ago. Turned up with it on the Friday and they wouldn't value it as it was "modified".
Told them to f*ck off and stick their club camping where the sun doesn't shine.

Hi,

Hi,
Well I joined it a couple of years ago, mostly to get insurance discounts etc. and I've found it worth it for that alone. They do have a bi-monthly magazine which was truly awful, but which has suddenly morphed into a really good mag with mechanical advice, road-trips, show reports and so on, produced to a high standard, like a mini version of the camper monthlies. I haven't been to any shows or meetings, but they seem a really friendly bunch, so I'd say go for it.
