quick shift to standard

been having a few problems with the lifter sticking on my quick shift gear stick therefore not beening able to select revearse. being mechanicly minded i hit it with a hamer, this broke the cable inside it.

i have a old 76 late bay shell that has a standard one in, are they the same ? as i'm skint and can't afford a new quick shift

Don`t know about the late shifter fiting but i`ve my old early bay shifter if you wanna borrow it i`m in Sheff so not that far
