Anyone purchased one of these from i think bluebird ???
newbed1_zps4a460030.jpeg

They look nice do they work well and are they worth the extra few quid

My mate bought one and reckons it's the bees knees. Bit tricky to fit (you'll need a second pair of hands) but works great apparently.

best RnR bed by far is Rusty s he s on here somewhere , better quality and half the price of all the main bed sellers :)
easy to fit took me ten mins to put together and another 10 to put it in my bus :)

I've got one and I love it - very smooth action and hugely stable. I had mine fited when my van was restored and the garage who did it highly recommended them.

Just out of interest, Rusty could you post a picture of your rnr and prices too?

Cheers

Hi yes I can sort you out.

My full width steel framed with boards are £160

My 3/4 width steel framed with boards are £130

I have sold loads to early bayers and on the ssvc.
I'm
Also now doing T4/5 beds

I bought one from Bluebird as recomended by many, many happy customers. Mine went back and fair play got a full refund baring postage. Don't quite understand why I should pay delivery and return postage on what I considered an item 'not fit for purpose' but hey, the vendor and I had different perspectives and he didn't argue the refund of the item. Some of the fitting instructions I was given over the phone beggar belief but I won't go into that, life is too short etc, etc.....
Have not any knowledge or experience of Rusty Lees offerings, have only heard good things.
For me though, the Westfalia bed is the only possibility, most of the others seem to look like an afterthought with foam only 75% as thick as the Westy. It works so well, very comfortable even at 44yrs old whilst still allowing plenty of storage underneath. No contest.
Using it tomorrow night, a mate doing a new years eve-eve hog roast so me and the boy making the most of the party !
12 month/365 day bus ;)

We've trimmed a couple of Rusty Lee beds recently. They're very good IMO, very solid, very smooth mechanism and llok good too. Fitted with a good 4" foam they're nice and comfy too :D

Sweet! That bed looks great!
What is the total length of sleeping space from boot door to end of bed?
Cheers Rusty Lee.

Delilah, what does an non-vinyl upholstered cushion for the bed run (plus engine part cushion)?
I'm still waiting on my bus, so will be a while till I want to get a bed.

Thanks guys.

I can ship my beds for £25 extra. I'm chuffed with all the positive comments.

I don't do buddy seats at the mo but I can make anything people want.

I had one in my split and was vey happy with it. 2" blue foam and 2" memory foam atop that made for many happy slumbers. Was handy that it lifted for access below also! Another thumbs-up for Rusty's product and I couldn't have asked for a nicer fella to deal with, super straightforward.

Ladies, Gents. Bought one of Rusty's full length R+R beds today, well chuffed, well made, looks robust (needs to be with myself and the long haired general kipping on it) :msn4: Just got to get it upholstered. Cheers for delivering it in such crappy weather as well. mate.
