Please tell me what I am missing here
1972 crossover
We got hold of a rear bumper early bay
We have both bumper irons

Both seem not to fit :-(

Hi,

Crossover irons are different to earlybay one because of the rear valance. AFAIK early ones will not fit, you need later ones, but not latebay, I'm sure you know about crossover parts! ;)

Yes, crossover rear irons are shorter, they look closer to the front irons that you have rather than the longer thinner earlies. The other thing to be sure of is that you have a crossover rear bumper, or you'll have to re-drill or maek an adaptor as the mounting points are a different distance apart from an early...I found all this out the hard way :roll:
 
Hi Peter, did you sell this bumper brackets? Was watching them on ebay but item was ended? I'm after a set of these bumper brackets if there still for sale?
