Help my van was lowered before i had it and no indication to how the rear is lowered. just it is sitting on the bumpstops most of the time. there is 4" from the bottom of the shock to the plastic bit on the outside of the shock, you can lift the back of the van you can get the shock to go up about 4" and the wheel still does not lift..... you can get the wheel off if you keep jacking.

The ride is not the best. how long should a standard gas strut be? so i can raise it a bit or sort it. i say raise it exhursh hits the ground on speed bumps. not sure if the torrsion bar has been adjusted.

You are possibly also running on the shock bottom as well - sounds like the PO was a numpty. Read the threads here on lowering and do it right. The torsion bar will have been rotated to drop it. Read your Haynes manual to see how this should be set and then go from there, remembering you will sacrifice ride quality by dropping it into the weeds, as well as needing more frequent exhaust muffler changes if not careful on speed bumps!!

cheers, will pull it apart and start it again, what shocks would people recommend, for a slightly lowered option, means front is cut and turned..
