Rear Hatch Door Modification old to new bay

I have the opportunity to purchase a rust free older Rear Hatch Door. Mine is a Crossover and it's a different door. As far as I can see it's only the hinge holes that are different. Has anyone any experience on moving the holes to the door sits in the correct place for an old to a newish door.
