Rear shock help please

Hi looking for a little help ,my bus has horseshoe plates on the rear my question is am i using the correct shocks ,i have kyb which today i measured when the bus was in normal park it was around 390 mm between the bolts .
i then removed the bottom bolt used my bottle jack until the shock dead ended this was around 300-310 .

please could anyone confirm theses are ok lengths or too short ,there is a bang when its a loaded up in the rear .

also any suggestions for correct replacments would be great

Ive got horse shoe plates aswell and am just useing standard shocks ( although they are new )
and all seems fine dosnt bottom out or anything :tup:
