Rear side window seal

Hi guys is a 68/72 rear side glass seal different from a 73/79? Cant get the bugger in the frame. Cheers.

Just done my 69 , don't know if it's different but it is very difficult to get in take a look at my post "fitting side windows" will take two people and we used one of those window sucker things, get a piece of rope or cord in the window rubber (use a quite thick one like a guy rope) "have a look on youtube" plenty of lubrication we used silicon spray worked a treat (don't use soapy water) put the rubber in at the bottom first then work your way round starting at the sliding door side, we had to work the rubber over the edge with a rounded bit of plastic (don't use anything sharp) you will have to give the glass a good push and pull and maybe a tap with a rubber hammer, it's very difficult so stop have a cup of tea and a think and eventually you will get it in

Thats pretty much what I tried Vinvan. The seal packet says 73/79 and mines a 70.

That is technically incorrect the earlies had a slightly thinner seal, most companies sell a one size fits all, which you can get to fit but its not correct. as said EB's have a thinner seal as the window recess is slightly shallower.
