Hi all

Can anyone recommend a good quality bay conversion company for my ‘71 Westy.
I’m gonna have to stage it and need to get 240 hookup and 12v splitcharge electrics A’s the first job followed by a new roof canvas to fit before considering a new interior.
Can anyone recommend a decent out fit in the Manchester area please?

Cheers

I live in Warrington and have never heard of Muddy fields i'd be very cautious about using a company with only 2 reviews on google. Resto's can be open cheque book affairs so ensure you know what you want/can afford.

Good luck

I have known Pete from Muddyfields for a while now and have done many engines for him/his customers, he does great work and will be probably painting my Bay when she gets finished with the welding.

For your electric give Ian @autoelecs a shout top man likes his tea!!

Stu at Vipertech in Salford did our bespoke interior ... he works closely with Anthony Ward (Dubholstery) who did our upholstery doors cards headlining and rock n roll bed etc ... Stu will also know good body folk as his Wedding Splitscreen is absolutely mint.

His welding was done by John at VW Welding Services I think, just across the way from Stu.
You can't go wrong with any of the names matty74 references, there's a load of skilled vw firms on Modewheel Industrial estate from mechanics to body and interiors...
...or have a crack yourself!

We had a full interior and trim from vanwurks(DIY fit) ... not the most reliable unfortunately... may be different if he fits the kit
