This is my much loved VW Microbus Deluxe that I am selling due to a house move and expanding family meaning we no longer all fit in her when we go on holiday
I have been using it as a campervan in summer and a microbus in the winter. The bench seat comes out quite easily and the rear seat can be unbolted to lie flat for a bed. You can buy specialist hinges that allow you to keep the existing seats/interior but I never got round to it! I have fitted a curtain rail (curtains included) and there is a board that folds out for a bed base as a bed solution (also included but pretty low tech solution!) Other than that its an untouched Microbus deluxe.
Factory Fitted Sunroof has functioned perfectly for 12 years but it got stuck on my holidays last year. Fixed it now thanks to some advice on here and a new gear cog
All original trim and interior including bench sheet, deluxe trim/jail bars etc
MOT valid until May 2015
Current zero cost tax disc expires May 2015
I bought the bus in 2002 and spent a couple of years restoring it
New VEGE engine in March 2003
Respray in July 2003
Very reliable, drove it to the South of France and back in the summer of 2013 with no issues. There are some visible signs of rust in the following locations:
On the front panel just above the bumper
Both rear tail lights
Drivers side door
The sunroof cavity and drains - I had one drain replaced to resolve a leak into the back
Roof showing a few signs of rust blisters around the sun roof
Stainless steel 3 bar roof rack can be included in the sale but I have a separate listing for this so it may sell before the van sells
I want £12,000 for it but open to offers
