Hi folks - I was wondering if anyone had any tips of where to get the interior of my roof carpet-lined. It's a Martin Walter dormobile roof and it's far too tricky for me to attempt, I also unfortunately haven't the time to devote a whole wekend to it and porbably mess it up along the way anyway.

The stretchy carpet is widely available from a variety of places. - but does anyone have any recomendations of where to get this type of work done?
The difficult is I also need to get my glass roof lights re-sealed at the same time (I have new seals ready to go).

I'm in Derby... happy to travel between about Burton and Sheffield, and say Stoke and Nottingham/ Mansfield area...

I've had Ken's Customs reccomended in Swadlincote, but they're booked solid for about the next 20 years, but it doesn't have to be a specific VW place as far as I can tell - just a competent vehicle trimmers/ glazier.

(Van will hopefully be mobile after this weekend too!!)

Cheers all, Rich

Hi Rich,
I'm interested in this too - do you know where to get the 'carpet' from as I'd probably have a go myself?
Cheers
Richard

I'd try Ebay - it's called stretch carpet - this type of a thing:

If you do it yourself make sure you get the High Temp spray adhesive. Called Trimfix, don't buy a copy or generic crap from DIY sheds

I've lost count how many people I've seen with vans with the carpet peeling off. Done a t25 and an eriba puck with trimfix and hasn't loosened even in the high summer.

Incideintally I have now found a place to do this less than mile from my house...

Amazing what you find when you start to look, and I had no idea it was there!
