Hi all,

I'm looking for someone to repair the roof on my van. The top needs sanding back, filling and painting. The roof rac has a crack that could do with a repair and repainting as well. Otherwise in good working order.

I would like to have solar panels installed after restoration.

Does anyone know someone who might be interested in doing the restoration and possibly install the solar panels?

Cheers

Hi there bud. Where abouts in the world / country are you ? That may help with organising somewhere and someone to take on these little jobs for you. The solar stuff is still fairly DIY in the old camper world still but there’s sure to be people that would take on this work I’m sure. It may however depend on where you are and how far you’re willing to travel .

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,, I’m thinking a bit about solar too :)

I did the pop top repair/ repaint and solar panels on mine. I had to do some wood repair and painted it all with interlux boat paint. I made some access points for the wiring and a little insulation to help hide the wires under the taupe trunk liner material. A Renolgy DC to DC controller looks after the solar, house battery, and charging battery. A 100 ah house battery runs everything

Bus looks like camping in Sunny Alberta to me, especially with no plate on the front of the bus.
