Afternoon people, I'm after a few bits of advice please.
Firstly, I've just taken out the westy fly screens from my bus to replace the mesh, the frames are really dirty so I was wondering what is best to use to clean them up a bit? Also, can you get the beading anywhere as one of mine seems to have been glued in?

Secondly, il be removing the interior from my westy in the next couple of weeks to replace the flooring and ply lining, is there anything I should be aware of whilst removing? Any hidden clips or awkward to reach bolts? How about the sink unit, is there any thing to be wary of? Is there anything worth doing whilst she's bare in the back?

Cheers fellas, Brett.

Hi Brett,
I think you really should post this in the technical area. I am sure that one of the mods will move it for you.there nice chaps you know

The interior is very easy to remove, most bits are bolted and access is to teh bolts is very easy.

There is bolts behind the passenger seat that secure the sink unit. Disconnct and remove the stench pipe before you take out the sink. Thats of you have one of course If you break it there not that easy to source. If yours exits through teh roof you may need to remove the outer shield first.

If you get stuck give me a shout.

I did mine in the following order.
Passenger seat
Sink
Buddy seat
Headbanger locker
R and R Bed
Wardrobe
Interior pannels
Floor
Roof pannels

Thats if you have them of course.

best of luck

Pete :D

hi...couldnt find anything to clean the frames of my fly screens or louvre windows to get off the pitting...as for the tubing think if you google it theres a guy who sells the mesh ,selling the tubing too...

For alloy cleaning its just a case of a drimel with a buffing attachemnt and good old Autosol. Takes an age , worth it though. I spent two days per louver window!

As for tubing ask one of the guys was selling the netting for the windows , he may know. Have and look in the for sale section
