That's (sort of) great news - not long now eh?

Your original post says it hasn't had a ticket since '69 - is that right or did you mean '79/'89/'99?

Anyway, well done - just a few niggles to sort!

You disconnect the reverse light live wire and put the indicator live wire on there instead.

There is a good thread on here by scott westy. http://forum.earlybay.com/viewtopic.php?t=5287

I sort of done this to my '71 USA import like that.Basically you take the brake light control wire off the hazard light switch(mine was a thin yellow wire, diagram shows as red/black?).Move the rear indicator wires to where you want them (I put them in Euro light units) Disconnect the left rear side light from rear (this will now be brake light wire) In the fusebox take off the feed to the left rear side lights. Now on mine I connected this to the brake light wire from the hazard light switch I removed earlier putting a fuse in between outside the fusebox(I used 10 amp).Check the fuse for the right side lights is also the correct amp white fuse.
Then at the rear you loop a wire from the right sidelight and connect to the left. Then the wire which was the left side light is now the brake light connect this to the left brake light then loop a wire to the right brake light.

You can use this principle wether you want to put the indicators in the reverse lights or in euro twin light units.I chose to put them in euro light units because I can keep my reverse lights working.I then fitted Hella all red lenses and painted the indicator bulbs green so that they flash orange through a red lense.
