Hi Guys,

I'm looking to fit new front shocks as the bushes on mine are shot due to 18 months of non use as we had a new arrival.... (We're now back on the road and back adding to the todo list!)

Looks like Koni are the top shocks on the block but I'm slightly confused as they seem to do a 'classic' range sold here

http://www.europerformance.co.uk/pages/products/product_info.mhtml?product=2572697

And then some red ones sold at the busdepot (referenced on Richard Atwelll)

http://www.busdepot.com/802110

Any idea what the difference is? Will the classics give me the same (famed) performance as the originals from the busdepot?

Any help gratefully received!

Cheers
Simon

Have a look here you need to make sure they're the correct ones for your bus year.

http://www.paruzzi.com/webstore/?klantauto=pano&zoektrefwoord=koni&group=4&subgroup=13" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The classic usually come in red but sometimes black AFAIK.

I bought a set for my 70 and they are good.

Thanks Mike,

When I've got some more cash I'm hoping to fit some front drop spindles. Do you know if I can still use the same koni shocks? Or is it better to fit cheap shocks for now and splash out on different sized konis when I'm doing the drop?

Cheers
Simon

sorry don't know much about lowered bays. But I wouldn't pay for Koni's and then lower it -just in case they don't fit!

Try speaking to a supplier, or maybe someone else will be along to pass on their experience.

The dropped spindles really need coilovers on the front which would mean the Koni's would be changed out.
But the quality option on coilovers are the Gaz ones and you could always get them now, run them without springs (so effectively they're just dampers) while you're at stock height and then put the springs in when the spindles go on.
The Gaz shocks are adjustable for damping too so you should be able to get them riding nice :D

Depends which dropped spindles you fit, if you fit flipped ones then yes coil overs, not flipped ones and adjustable beam use KYB.
