Should you waterproof the poptop fabric

As it says above.

We have a new canvas to fit to our bus when we get it next week and just wondered if we should treat the canvas before we fit it, if so what should we use.

I used Fabsil on mine, but I don't think you have to. I did it once it was fitted.

Did mine with awning water proofer from a caravan place, as the canvas use to wet out, now stays dry in the worst weather.
Would also get awning wash, and clean the fabric before you proof it, make sure both are ok with canvas.
