Here's one for you all.
This is a nice solid Westy from California, all complete and running. Almost ready for MOT - needs an indicator switch, steering knuckle and the lights sorting.
Has a rebuilt engine that runs really well, has twin 40 Webers fitted (!) couple to a standard 1700 gearbox - I think the engine is an 1800, but not totally sure.
The important bits....
She is ROCK solid, no rust anywhere. We have had two small plates welded in underneath both wheel arches where the body meets chassis behind the rear wheel and a careful repair patch on the NS sill/rocker.
There is no other rot that I can find anywhere, even the battery tray is good.
Bodywork is very good including almost all OG paint, except for the drivers door which is dented AND the front panel.
The front panel is NASTY. Some bodger has really gone to town and we have taken off some of the "Bondo" but it reveals some poor repair work. It's not beyond it, or difficult to sort out. but it needs to be done by a pro- or you replace the panel with a new one or a panel cut.
It needs a new Poptop canvas and a floor covering inside, and the Westy bed has a chunk out of it.
