This maybe te wrong time of year to ask but hey you never know.
£5800 offers

I bought this lowered single cab in California earlier this year and drove around and generally had a great time. She is now back in the UK and not too sure if I am going to keep her or sell her to fund my splittie project.

There is work that needs doing the biggest but they aren't massive jobs, mostly brakes, oil leak from the resevoir to the pipe(too short and too tighter angle) probably removing the remote door opener as I am sure having no handles is an M.O.T. failure and straightening the track rod so the wheel allignment is correct. But really nothing if you have some knowledge and skill.

I have had the engine checked out by a Porsche specialist in California and they told me the lump is from a 911 either 2.4 or 2.7 and it has the upgraded Carrera chain tensioner fitted to it.

She's a massive head turner !

So tell me what you think and if you like make me an offer or at least tell me what you think I should expect.

Thanks

I just wanted to inform you all of what happened at the Big Bang show.

Prior to going to the show I decided that it would be better to get her running after sitting for a year.
All that was needed was some fresh fuel and a little down each carb and she she fired up - ran a little rough and popped a little but after sitting for a year I wasn't surprised.
Pleased that I had got her running I trailered her to the show- not having and mot or tax.
As ever when you are selling you motor she'll start to play up.

At big bag the engine desided to stop running , after speaking with a few 911 people I think this is what has happened. She sat for a year and the fuel has dried and in the carbs crystalised - you know the white flakey reisdue, this would explain why she was running but not that great. Also the brown residue that you find in a dry carb would have been softened by the fresh fuel and then got sucked into the carb jets as well and got caught up with te crystalisd fuel this is enough to stop enough fuel getting into the piston chamber to ignite, hence the stalling.

I bought some carb cleaner and was going to do it at the show but the chap who told me this said not to as it would be easy to loose a part. He told me to take the carbs off 1 at a time put it on a bench with white paper and clean each piece and lay them down in order when done put them all back together in reverse order.

As I said I was going to do this myself as it is nothing major, just time. However it's something I don't have spare so I dropped the price from £5200 at the show to £4800 but am open to sensible offers.

I also spoke to a few people who told me just the parts are worth more than £4200 so I am thinking of breaking her.
It is something I don't want to do but I need some cash and if thats the way to get it then that's what i'll do

She was a great ride and could be again.

Time to grab a bargain.

Anybody wanting the best cab in the country ?

Jason
