slidding door hinge,which way round does this part go??

Hi all tried to over hall my existing hinge with parts from just kampers but i could not get their new u bolt to fit ,so i brought a good 2nd hand hinge of ebay to fit ,now when it has arrived one part is broken on it ,tipical was advertised as purfect,but i do have the little cam in question as i was going to fit it to my hinge,but which way up should i fit it ,also there are 4 possible places i could fit it on the square shaft i dont have a hinge to copy(as my original hinge is also broken) so any photos or advice would be great see my photos below

Answered my own question,
As i had 2 theeth out the other day i look like a chipmonk so i am off work.Went to see my dad who is an ex royal engineer so very practical,he looked at it and knew straight away that the cam had to connect to the finger shaped thingy .......................result 20 mins and i have a sliding door again horay
