My sliding door doesnt like to stay open, it seems the catch doesnt catch so to speak, so if I'm on any thing more than a flat surface, it slides closed, any one know how to fix this?
If the catch is not catching on the rear door plate, then it's usually either seized up or the spring has gone. Check that the hook piece is moving properly and if not then soak it in light oil and work it about a bit. It should free up and then spring to the locking position i.e. towards the outside of the van. If the spring has broken you'll have to take the hook mechanism off and fit a new spring or get a s/h locking mech.
