Can anyone tell me how the sliding door lock is supposed to work......
The key turns 180 degrees in the lock and a small tab on the barrel pops out, but when I turn the handle the door still opens............. :?
Also there is a small knurled lever on the inside of the lock mechanism, is this to lock the door from the inside? mine won't move at all.

Need to get the bus secure (among a massive list of other jobs) before holi-holidays in 3 weeks. 8)

Cheers duders.

Matt.

As you have described is how mine works mate. 180* turn of the key locks the handle so I can't move it to open the door. Inside there is a lever just above the handle that locks from the inside but this works independantly of the key lock, ie. the key won't open the door if it is locked from inside.

Cheers buddy, maybe there is something missing from inside the lock that the little tab on the barrel is supposed to engage with to stop the handle being turned.

Anyone intimate with the workings of these locks??

Matt.

take the screw out of the middle of the inside handle & pull the outer handle out of the door - then try using the key - you should easily see the how it works then.
