What did you snap, the big drain bolt or one of the 6 studs that the sump plate and strainer mount on?
If it's one of the studs it will leak when it gets hot.
The best solution is to get the broken stud out without damaging the thread, inserting a new stud, and only doing the dome headed nut up to 5lb/ft.
The other option is to drill the broken stud out and refit one of these.

You could just drill the broken stud out and fit an 8mm bolt, but you'll have to open out the sump plate, strainer and gasket holes.
