Well I spent the first hour of the day building a Lego garage... who ever said that Lego was for kids....

By this afternoon however my 4yr old son had rebuilt it to his exact specification, it now looks more like a trashed Kentucky drive-through

And......the out-laws didn't end up coming over (tragedy). So a nice lazy day with lots of food and drink, no driving, hurrah!! We usually have a campervan picnic at the seaside on Christmas day but the weather was foul and the kids flatly refused to get dressed, (who cares, it's Christmas day.....) so maybe tomorrow.

A few of the neighbours popped in though which was nice, and then about 4.30 it finally stopped raining so I grabbed the ipod and the dog and escaped for a nice long walk to clear my head...... I actually really like walking in the rain but Toby the wonderdog won't even stick his nose out of the door if it's so much as drizzling. Bit of a wimp in that department. My Rottie would have walked all day in the rain, in fact we often did, bless him. RIP Syd...

Never was one for sitting about indoors all day, in fact I could have quite happily spent the day driving about in the bus, or pottering about in the garage but hey.....Santa brought me a new snowboard so it wasn't all bad....

How was everyone else's day?

C

Sounds fun carole, we spent the day with family, which was great, my partner felt ill last night so we didnt go mad on xmas eve so woke up with a clear head, nice lie in, a few pressie stops followed by food, red wine, food, beer, food, liquers, food, beer, liquers and i'm still conscious, the size of a house mind, but just getitng ready to do it all again tomorrow.... here goes........

Just got in from doing the rounds of relatives, spent the morning at home then over to the outlaws for lunch and then to my parents for the evening, trundling round in the camper all day with no traffic around was great

Got a few books and DVDs and enough sweets to sink a battle ship 8)

Unfortunately outlaws were at ours all crimbo, so downer from the start, what an old fanny he is....they bought Antony some bloody ridiculous sized present and are upset that its gonna live outside feckwits....oh and we rejected one of their presents for me and Helen how many coffee machines do they need to buy us I like my coffe but the one they got us two years is better and still going strong feckwits....

Other than that a quiet one the lad enjoyed himself and I managed to stay reasonably sober so I didnt upset anyone other than the above...

Walked the dog a couple of times so he'd hopefully run off the cockeral he ate...but as with Caroles he cant stand the rain so straight back in tail between his legs, again my last dog Blue (a giant german shep/rottie cross) would rather go out in the rain and find all the dykes and mud holes....

Now off to the outlaws for a couple of days (dont ask) feckwits...suppose i'll have to get drunk....

Aaaah....the joys of outlaws....

Our's are due today....

Thankfully I'm back at work tomorrow, so plenty of beers should see me through the day.

And......it's not raining so more dog walking for me later....

we had a quiet morning to ourselves
then my eldest lad turned up with our grandson Joe who managed to cover the living room and hall with ripped wrapping paper as he wanted to help everybody unwrap their presents

just watching him made my Christmas :D :D :D

then he put one or two of his toys into action

Christmas day was soo nice - no visitors and the wife created a masterpiece of
a meal :D
Not to many drinks on the Eve and the kids didn't get up to early (8am) so felt very good.

Today (Boxing day) we are off to the outlaws but will be quiet as most of them are
going to watch footy!!!!

Just had a text from a friend to tell me that his father died this morning so not a good start

Xmas day- Plenty of beer and great food, and the quietest Xmas day i have had in recent times thanks to Nintendo..! Got a DS each for the eldest two and they kept them quiet all day :D

Then on the evening a friend bought round his new Wii and we got stuck in to that...the Wife is completely hooked and now wants one for her birthday on 2 weeks time... :D.... result!!

Christmas day started off allright for us,kids got up quite late,my missus got up first at 9AM and woke the girls up.Then we had fun opening our presents and eating chocalate. Then we went to my outlaws, wasn't too bad they've melowed a bit now.But when I got back home I stepped onto the front step and my knee gave way with great pain. It's always been dodgy since an old football injury.Spent the rest of the day with my feet up,slept on the sofa as I couldn't walk.then finally went to hospital on boxing day, after a 5 hour wait had an xray,no breaks so as there was no orphapeadic specialist there who wouldn't see someone unless there was a fracture I was given painkillers and went back home. Now I'm dosed up on Diazepam and Co-Dydramol which is nice. But I still haven't had a drink this christmas.hopefully I'll be able to walk properly by next week as you don't get sick pay being self employed.

At least I got out of going round all the sales this year. :)

Yay ,I can hobble around today, not looking too bad, should be fit enough to work by Monday. :D

I noticed that picture to day in merry hill but the shop had been shut down! It was of a blue bay on a beach in landscape style the same as yours!!! Any ideas where else to get them from??
