I had a chat with Laurence about the boss to use. Do you know where you got yours?

Long story............i got the alloy one from MWS at Volksworld. They were offering them real cheap but when they found out people were buying them for these wheels and not their own the price shot up. They wanted more than the advertised magazine price? I had a few words and caused abit of a scene and got it for the advertised price.
When i opened it it had no top ring or nuts and bolts? MWS say they come with the wheel not the boss!!!!!

Didnt get back to MWS again but got the ring from Motolita website. If your happy with black JusyKampers do one which is cheaper and a compleat set.

MWS scamming, squirming and mis-representing? Surely not! :?

That wheel looks sweet in yours  I still cant get mine off .....

I'm very tempted to get a Snap Off steering wheel kit and boss (remove the steering wheel when you leave the van - makes stealing it a little more difficult).

I had one on my '67 bug which worked a treat, although I had to shorted the column to make it sensible. I don't think I have that luxury on the van though due to the ignition switch etc.

Dont think anyone will steel this in a hurry, the boss is really hard to remove and ive used loctight on the threads of the screws. Im abit miffed as it could do with moving one spline to the left if im honest, but its to much agro by far.

I bought an early rear roof cut, a gearbox, a steering box, a pork roll with stuffing and crackling, and two pints of westons cider. :D
Nearly bought a Scat bus shifter, but I am trying not to buy any shiny stuff for the moment. :(
Didn't get anything that was on my list though.

i got a replacement drivers seat as mine was knackered for £5.a folding ladder for accessing the roofracks £25 .a second 3 bow westy rack for £170 .a couple of old cases £30 and a vintage esso can for £5 and a stainless 4 tip monza for £20 i had hoped to pick up a set of wheels but only new ones available so no bargains to be had

I actually meant the van...no steering wheel on a van makes it difficult to drive.

Got me a pair of 4 1/2 X 15 mangels slotted steels in rusty chrome for £25 for front. Got 5 1/2 X 15 for rear in garage to match. Will get them blasted & painted as I would if bought the new chrome ones at £295 a set...... Also sorted which awning to get. Gotta e-mail Frank for same westy table clip Ego Trippin found, thinks he has one more!

I/we got a rear westy net (not right for my van -LOL, thanks to clyde for the info)(i dont care  :D )
A set of extra long overiders(tops)
also a little red truck for the kids???or should that be the beer!!!!!!!!!

And 2 trays of under cooked, OVER price chips !!!!!!!!!

i got my mad matz flooring!not a bad deal really!and just the right colour i wanted for my project :) and alot of beer
:)
