Hi well I have changed my Bocar carb for a Solex 34 pict, set it up runs great but is popping when I DE-accelerate...does anyone know why this happens...thank you.

Provided there are no air leaks on the induction side and in the exhaust then popping on the overrun is normally a sign the mixture is set too weak. Try unscrewing the small tickover mixture screw half a turn and see if it stops it.

Stock exhaust,I will try adjusting the mixture screw, does it matter if I end up winding it out past the recommended 2 to 3 turns out, thinking of fuel economy also.
thanks again

Mixture screw on a 34 pict only adjusts tick over mix. Hence popping only on over run.
Running mix is set by the jets and cant be changed.
You may notice a very small change in fuel economy but it will be tiny if you are only winding the screw out 0:5 turns, and it is usual only a minor change to how rich the tick over mix is set, that stops popping.
