1970 Californian Import Westy for sale
I love this bus but due to family illness im not going to have the time to get it where I want it (Ive worked bloody hard to get it where it is now)
I have a young family and not a lot of time now. I would like something that sits on my drive, I get in and drive it to the south of France if I want to without hesitation (although im sure this bus would deliver this!)
Just being honest, I LOVE this bus, I know I may well regret this at somepoint but I wanna spend my time with my family, not fitting a narrowed beam, stereo, tweaking the interior – you know how it is!!

The details....
Very solid bus, imported last year. I got it legal and through its first MOT for its maiden outing to Glastonbury! Just had its 2nd MOT (cost me £35 in total :mrgreen: )
Great bus, very solid in those normally not solid places due to being sat in Pamona desert since 97! Rear arches, front floors, sills, cargo floor, gutters are all lovely! There is a little rust up in behind front bumper (inner panel)
The bus is original underneath, I haven’t got round to Waxoyling it (at least you know what’s there!)
Rear battery tray is shot but: battery has been moved to other side, I have a replacement panel and its all legal for MOT (hence me leaving it for a mo)
Original paint (including dinks and scrapes!) in Pearl White. Have taken a PC to it just to take some of the dullness out.
New rubbers on rear and fixed side window*
Fully rebuild cab doors with new rubbers through out (incl opening quarters)*
New Tailgate, sliding door and engine lid rubbers*
*All bought from Custom and Commercial
Electrics all converted for UK use
Brand new (fitted in April - still guaranteed!) engine from T.E.S built with uprated Engle 100 cam for more torque at lower RPM. New B&P, new carb. Heat exchangers fitted but and I haven’t got round to sorting cables.
All new ancillaries bit replaced when fitted including clutch etc
Runs sweet!
Brakes all rebuilt last year with new flexi hoses/shoes/wheel cylinders
I have a full CSP wide 5 front disc kit that I haven’t fitted yet – this will go with the bus if the asking price is met (worth £950!)
New balljoints all round for last years MOT
New Empi Sprintstars – very good tyres
I have some CE Adjustable springplates to be fitted on the rear so its just up to you what you want to on the front then, beam, adjusted etc.
I also have a brand new drop link that will go with the sale.
Ive fitted a brand new poptop canvas and re-Scotchguarded
The interior is original (bar the sink unit and overhead locker) which I found got in the way with 2 little ones and we had a JustKampers put-me-up sink unit anyway.
My wife has recovered the rear cushions, and the buddy seat. The front seats will need attention (ive just got them covered with cheap work covers at the mo)
I have all my receipts from the last years work on it, I haven’t totalled it but I would say there is easily £4500 in parts

Can negotiate without the brakes/spring plates
I am based in Newton Abbot, Devon (TQ12) happy for viewings, more than happy to provide more pics/videos etc. When the sun returns i'll get some spanky pics up :mrgreen:
