Hope I will be forgiven for this not being an EarlyBay, but I scanned this road test a while ago from a 1979 magazine. Thought it might interest you :wink:

'Officially', the Jurgens company has only started building Bay Autovillas since '73 - in other words no Early Bays.

This is what a MK1 Autovilla Bay looks like:

and this is the later MKII Autovilla, with the compartment above the cab:

There were also quite a number of 'Vanagon' Autovillas, some pics a bit later!

out of the pair the MkI looks better IMO....would be interesting to find out if they ever retro fitted to an early.....
