Spare wheel carrier

Quick question. What spare wheel bracket is best ? The EMPI bracket or the type that also rests against the front bumper ?

The one that mounts to the bumper, as you'd expect is probably better, but I don't think they're for earlies. TBH I wouldn't recommend putting the spare wheel there at all unless you want to keep it there forever- if you bump something it really does a number on your front panel.

Definitely not the one that uses the 4 badge holes to take the weight, we've seen so many knackered front panels from the use of these, the slightest nudge on the spare wheel pushes the front panel in as its only single skin and was only ever designed to take a badge.
