Old Stanley has a new leisure battery and he is also fitted with a split charger unit.
When at home I have been keeping the battery on a trickle charge and the battery is holding a full charge, after a weekend away with a long run home the battery was below 12v. The battery from memory is a 80ahr unit and we only used the radio and LED lighting for maybe an hour over the weekend.
My suspicion is that the split charger is not working, to test it is it just a simple case of attaching a volt meter to the split charger output side whilst the engine is running and powering the alternator?
