dear all

is the stainless steel braided fuel hose a no go? i check my fuel lines all the time and have had no problems, but i just would like to tidy up my engine a bit

any thoughts would be welcomed

only problem i've ever found with braided stuff is that its a bit easier to fit and forget, in that, you wouldnt visibly check the condition of it as often, and if there was a leak its a bit harder to see it against the metal than it would be wet/cracked rubber

i would personally stick to rubber/cloth braided

but if you check it all the time and its more for show... then cool

I always use unbraided. You can see the rubber and bending it will reveal any signs of ageing by revealing small shallow cracks in the surface. Impossible with steel or cloth braided pipes.

i normally use cloth cloth braided hose, when i went to get some for my bug gsf did not have any so gave me steel braided at same price, will probebly only leave it on for 1 year before changing it as can not see cracks etc.
