Hi all

Been given the tast of getting me mates engine going as it wont run after a full rebuild... (he doesn't have any mechanical knowledge but has followed a dvd rebuild thing to the letter  )
But one of the this he's mentioned he's done is "trim" the inlet manifold down a bit each side so he can take the inlet ends off without disconnecting the inlet or altinator from the engine

Would this have any effect on the engine, my only thought would be when you get the vacuum from the pistons youll be vacuuming the rubbers too....

Can see today being a long day

Cheers
Dave

Luckly not a long day just an hour to diagnose then 2 hours with a die grinder to fix it

Were the middle section of the inlet meets the outers sections were the boots are the holes in the join were 33mm instead of 35mm so ment it was holding the inlet to head bit off the heads a little so a quick grind out an bobs your uncle it ran
