I purchased a full set of rubbers for my van in mid Jan this year and as these things happen only getting them all on now. All great (with the exception of the westie louver windows, but thats a different story!! ) except I had 2 cab door seals for the same side. Due to the fact I had the seals for nearly 6 months I was not hopeful that they would be able to help me but a quick call later and a trip to the post office and 1 working day later (double bank holiday) and I have swapped the seal over with minimal hassle.

Great customer service and much appreciated :p

Now MOT next week hopefully. :msn4:

Thanks

Nick

Great to hear a good news story for a change. There must be thousands of experiences like this one but we tend to only share those where things go pear shaped, which is a pity.

It does go to show that it is possible to be a small business AND to provide great customer service. :D

I would recommend KraftwerkVW in Stoke for the same reasons; they dropped everything a couple of weeks ago to get me out of the unexpected smelly stuff, and even gave me a lift home. :!: :D

I know status used to have a bit of a bad rep, but i recently found out that they were located pretty near to where i live.
Barkley seemed a really nice guy and was really helpful, and his showroom/shop is pretty unique.

dont know how that helped but thought i would contribute

I'm happy for you, my experience with status just lately hasn't been that great. Sent parts that are supposed to be for my year of bus but aren't. badges that are plastic and not metal...

I reckon the real test of customer service is not how well it does every day, but how it responds to things going wrong. We have seen other suppliers failing on that score and getting flamed on this forum (possibly rightly so, too)

How did Status react when you went back to them with your dodgy order? Hopefully they had a chance to put it right and it was sorted :D

As the old addage goes, you have a good experience, you tell 5 people; you have a bad experience, you tell 20 people

I have has a good experience today from Heritage, excellent customer service, and by rights they didn't have to swap the part over for me but , they even broke down a similar kit and gave me the part that was broken..... Thanks VW Heritage unbelievable customer service..!

likewise the other day, got a phone call just to let me know that since the jubilee weekend their deliveries were running a day late.

it was only a little part i didn't desperately need straight away.

its the little things that make us go back and buy more.
