I need to jet wash my engine off, it's currently out of the van with the clutch and fly wheel removed, is there any advice before doing this? Where should I avoid at all cost? Il cover the carb and heat exchangers, but what else?

I am not a fan of jet washing, it has the tendency to force water into places it would never normally get - like inside swivels, bearings, inside the dynamo etc and once there, with no longer any protective oil film, it can cause corrosion.

I'm with tricky on this too, unless your splitting the case I'd avoid it.

Get yourself some engine degreaser and a wire brush or similar and do it by hand with a little more control.

I've just sprayed the engine with degreaser , I'm leaving it over night to do its thing, so I'm better off getting a sponge and brush and getting my hands dirty (and no doubt cut to bits!) you reckon then lads?

Can't wait!! :|
