STEERING BOX ARM

Made a nifty puller today to get the arm off the steering box. Anybody needs it I will be renting it out for 1oz of golden virginia per day :lol: :lol: :lol: Piece of cake, tube style puller.

Well I actually told a little fib when I said I made a tube style puller. I made two !! The first one was nice enough but I used a peice of scaffold tube, and when it was ready it was just a gnats nudger too small. So I wandered round and round and round the garage looking for a bit of tube a bit bigger than a scaffold tube, so to cut a short story even shorter I whipped 4" off the bottom of an acrow prop, cut and welded some 1/4" plate top and bottom, drilled a hole in the top and welded a nut inside, drillied a hole a fraction bigger than the splies in the bottom and cut a slot in the side just big enough to get over the arm, slipped it on and did it up tight and gave it a little tug and Initially I thought I`d broken it but realised it had worked. I`ll try and get some piccys up later.

Let me sort out your house or your roof or virtually anything on your house, leave me with a problem in the garage on just about anything, let me grow trees and stuff for you, I can even give you some great stuff and tips for your lawn, BUT piccys and computers just don`t work at my house !!

Dubdubz,,, When I looked at that post again, it did look a little harsh, for that you have my apologies. I will get some piccys up for you as I did go down the garage and take some however my attempts to actually get them on here seem to be futile. As soon as some one with half a brain comes near my laptop, that will be my first instruction. But if you ever want to borrow this puller,,,,,,,, just ask!!! And because I barked,, I won`t even charge my standard 1oz of golden virginia.

There is a god, well now you can just about make out how it works. (David Bailey I am not or so it seems) that is supposed to be a tape measure next to it so you get some idea of size.
