I have a very nice steering wheel cover in my beetle, in brown, which Came withnthe car and I have had it for years...it is very comfortable nad it sort of hides the cracks 
I managed to buy one for the van years ago too...but in black...Anybody knows of a place that might have brown ones?
All this while I save for a nice wood rim which is what I really want! :lol:
