My steering wheel has seen better days, the smooth black finish around the edges has worn away and everytime i drive it a little bit of the steering wheel rubs off in my hands.

Is there a place to get it refurbished?

Or am i best sourcing a replacement? (would like to keep standard).

epoxy resin filler, wet and dry, time and paint jobs a good un or you can get repair kits that contain the above with directions but dont come with any spare time. :D

i friend just refurbed one with many coats of paint. it wasnt damaged but it turned out like new.

New ones are around £180? not cheap.

Excellent.

Mine looks like it needs a good sand and paint.

Can it be powder coated?

Thank you

dunno, depends on the thermo properties of the plastic on the wheel, anyone seen these burn?

Personally I wouldnt risk it though the heat isnt phernominal the metal within the rim will expand at a different rate to the plastic.

Care with a spray gun or even cans should be all thats required and a decent hard lacquer..
