My Infinities are 50mm deep and from memory, there's stacks of room at the bottom of the doors - if you go for components, you should be good to mount the mids down there and the tweeters high up on the face of the door card.

Cheers for that.

Think the Alpines i looked at are 60 and the Pioneers 64 but ive also spotted some infinity referance that look nice (they are all at the same price point and so really i imagine its a case of which i like the look of best as the specs are really close)

Heres the head unit.

I'm liking the look of that head... have to admit to being massive Pioneer source fan ever since they won a comparison test in Revs magazine. Never been disappointed. Good luck with the install.

Sorry to hijack...
But does anyone it there's a way to connect an mp3 player into an existing SONY unit without using those awful radio transmitter things?

I'm running a SONY head 2x 4" Infinity upfront & 2x 6" Infinity at the rear. Then 2x 6x9's driven of a little amp in the under seat, the whole shoting match was less than £400 as I brought decent second hand head & amp, you can't beat having a young cousin boy racer that wants to constantly upgrade......

There was something on eBay that connects to the changer control if I can find it il post the link

It's a work around but I was after keeping the CD multichanger if possible..
Cheers for the link though...

I think you can also get a cable to run two changers maybe that could work
