Man, that's a toughie! Many a Friday night I spent in the London Indie clubs grooving to the early Roses and 'Mondays stuff. Both brill!

'fraid I'm gonna have to endure the splinters of sitting on the fence LOL

To turn it on it's head slightly...

Ian Brown or Black Grape... ;)

Definitely the Roses. I bumped into Ian Brown in the Hacienda (literally), he was wasted.. but not as wasted as me  . I have a tendency to shout "Holy fcuk its _________!" when i see someone famous

...on this occasion i got politely told to fcuk off

Waterfall is my all time favorite.

Ooooh hard one thats like deciding between the sultans of ping fc and the frank and walters, or Neds atomic dustbin and PWEI, charlatans and inspirals etc.....hmmmm

to be honest its all down to your frame of mind at the time, I never got into that oasis blur argument either

one minute I'll be listening to Gilbert and Sulivan then onto Angelic Upstarts so I'mprobablynot the best person to be commenting

Mad forrit!

Me too Araon I have a similarly "catholic" taste in music but for a terrible moment I thought you said Gilbert O'Sullivan!

Typical Sat AM get up log on to EB then get coffee :)

I love them both, but it has to be the Roses for me

Slightly off topic - went to see Ian Brown at a small (500 people) last night - muscians were really good.
Ian Brown sucked - flat and lifeless - sounded like he'd been on the weed and beer all day - me and the missus left early, fist time ever I have done that at a gig :(

Stone Roses. Ian Brown has to be the coolest man alive.
Their self titled album is the only album i own, where every song is brilliant. Can't say that about the Mondays.
