Me too, love those long summer evenings.....
So far booked Volksworld, Alive and V Dubbin' and Grill and Chill. We've done these for the last 4 years, apart from Volksworld, I was at the first one many, many years ago. Also booked Eurotunnel for a week in May to travel around Belgium and Holland again, and we're working on a plan to spend 2 weeks driving around France with a mate and his family in their late bay. Roll on spring....
You are exactly right. Let’s make a forfeit for the first one to bitch about the weather. Let’s see some buds on trees and let’s get out there.
Ozziedog,,,,,,,,roll on summer
Me n Vinvan keep having the same conversation. Don't wanna wish my life away but I really hate this part of the year - deadsville! Kicking off with Dubfreeze, then Stanford Hall, mini road trip, EarlyBay camp out, Lydiate Classic Car Show (charity event), Tatton Park and VW Action. Giving Busfest a miss this year because its become stale.
Yes I know what you mean by stale, but I’ll still go I guess. First one for me is probably the Earlybay camp out. Favourite day is the shortest day because it’s stopped going downhill and it’s turning around. Second fave is when the clocks spring forward and you know it’s happening and summer is on the way.
I’ve been waiting four years. Almost there with the renovation. I’m off to the beach (Ynyslas 15 minutes down the road) first, followed by a weekend trip down the west coast to Tenby via St. David’s. It could be snowing, windy or raining. Don’t care......Just want those first trips. Mind you, those balmy summer evenings you’re talking about with slow diminishing light and the warmth of wild camping whilst looking out at a view to die for.......are priceless. The added ons (booze, baccy, music, food, etc.....in that order!!) to this earthly beautiful atmosphere are whatever rocks your boat. My bus and a merchant navy metal box filled with essentials are the essence of well being after work and it’s stresses. Lovely.
