A roofrack maybe?

I've used the soft surfboard straps and they're OK pottering about between the campsite and beach, but wouldn't use them on a motorway journey ever again....

not into roofracks, sold it last year, what happened did you lose your board ?

Hey,

I was wondering about this myself. I have a 69 westy pop top, is there a roof rack that would fit that I wouldn't have to spend forever moving when I need to put the top up? I don't like the idea of the process 'stick boards on rack, drive to beach, remove boards, remove rack, pop top up, change, surf, return......... You get the picture

I've got one of these and used it a couple of times, only problem is the rear strap, its OK one side with the sliding door but on the other side we had to use one of the quarter lights the other side

Get yourself a board bag. I just put my board in there then use 2 of those quick straps to secure it to the luggage rack. Ok the front of the board sits over the elevating roof but it's well quick for transport. Or to be honest if I'm just to and fro the beach I just chuck it in the bus!

ok thanks, looks like the soft ones are *****, will have to chuck it in the back or look round for some sort of padded roof bars.

The roof bars advertised on the late bay linked to above I would have thought would be ideal and they are cheap!!
