Swing arm extra bolt

Was putting my gearbox in today and noticed next to the osr swing arm bolt body side theres a extra 13mm bolt what is this for? Im only asking as i bought the van with a new loom and none have been plugged in,
Also what wires go on the starter, iv found a large red with a bolt through end and a small red with a spade, im guessing its them?

Gearbox earth strap goes to the 13mm bolt. It earths the starter motor (through the 'box)

Wires to the starter should be a spade and a ring, as you say. The spade should be only live with the key turned to the cranking position, the other should be (iirc) always live.

Depending on the year of van, you may have other wires to it. Check your wiring diagram from here:

Thanks for the link buddy, now just gotta figure out the generator wiring, and what this random large black wire thst goes through a grommit osr has a ring and obv a connector has come off other end its about 600 mm long :/
