20year ago a good splitty was £3.5k, a good bay around £2.2k and a good beetle around £7k -how things have changed

Parts supply now is very good but prices (even in just the last year) have gone up a fair amount (I've seen 30% in a year). The busses are over-priced but I think this is affected by supply, restoration cost and parts cost. A bus is unlikley to be work resto and costs BUT it ought to be worth something in comparrison to the money poured into it.

There are also the new 'must have for the scene' members that do have the dollar and spend cash quickly.

The bottom hasn't fallen out but some busses are still overpriced IMHO -the £22k late bay in the walkway up to the entrance of Dubfreeze seemed a little high

supply and demand...the supply has come to a halt as graham l suggested.Most importers only import to order now after having their fingers burnt...i know i did..i had over 100k of busses in stock which killed my cashflow so i won`t do it again.I too only import to order.There are definately the buyers out there and as march approaches the enquiries are numerous , however they all want it now and want to choose too.So as is life money attracts money and the big boys with stock on the forecourt will win. Danbury are buggered as the brazilian kombi will cease production this year...anyone want to invest £200k in rhd imports?

its been said before..... It takes just one person to buy your bus at the right price!.... The key is to find that one person so advertise in as many places as you can think of.
When I sold my last bus it was because the guy loved the colour and his wife loved the interior. At the time I thought there were nicer busses for less money available BUT they wouldnt have been the right colour with the right interior for my buyers so I was lucky that I found that particular buyer. My bus sold in a short time, I often wonder if I would still have it or would have had to dramatically reduce the price if that particular buyer hadnt come along
